Our Story

We are Carrie & Robyn. A couple of friends who have become even better friends since joining forces in small business.

Beginning in 2016, Carrie had a unique vision for The Beauty Theory. Carrie wanted to help the local spa businesses expand their salon offerings and fill a gap she saw in training estheticians after they finished school. She started exploring and expanding her own personal advanced education, receiving certification in IPL laser treatment, skin plasma, microblading, henna, body sugaring and electric file training. Carrie started servicing clients, growing her boutique spa and formulating a body sugaring line. She quickly formed relationships with national brands to become a certified educator and distributor with Akzentz, RefectoCil, and Caronlab to name a few. Carrie's passion for esthetics and continued education remains a fundamental part of The Beauty Theory.

In 2021, Robyn, a longtime friend and client of Carrie's decided to leave her comfy corporate job and join Carrie in the crazy world of small business entrepreneurship. New to the Beauty Industry, Robyn was immediately in love. In love with the industry, and in love with the challenge to help further grow The Beauty Theory into a One Stop Esthetics Supply Store. Robyn shares Carrie's passion to grow a business that supports the small business owner with professional products, professional education as well as utilizing her past procurement and marketing experience to bring the best possible prices to help support each esthetician's bottom line.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve worked hard to bring many in demand amazing brands to our shop including, LCN, Ugly Duckling, Elaspa Professional Skin Care and Elapromed Technology. Most recently, Carrie and Robyn decided to close the spa services portion of the business to focus solely on the growing the distribution part of the business and advanced education offerings.

It's been a wild ride and we're so excited to continue to this journey.
