RECURFACING PURIFYING BRIGHTENING
Peel Mix is intended for professional use in STEP 1 during the Hydro-Peel facial. KEY ACTIVES: Lactic Acid 10%, Gluconolactone, Lavender Hydrosol.
LACTIC ACID - an AHA acid which brightens, reduces breakouts and fine lines, and evens skin, while also making it look firmer. It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. The AHA acid exfoliates by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells to reveal a more radiant complexion. - Lactic acid (as sodium lactate) is part of skin’s natural moisturizing factor and provides hydration to the skin because of its unique structure that allows it to bind water within skin. - During the research in 1996, researchers observed that a higher concentration ( between 8-10%) actually penetrated both the dermis and epidermis for firmer, thicker skin, resulting in fewer fine lines and wrinkles. - Higher concentrations of 10-12% also helps fade signs of discoloration by speeding the shedding and renewal of surface cells that have a visible buildup of excess pigment. This pigment-fading results also apply to post-acne marks with excess melanin. - Lactic acid can be used on all skin types, including sensitive skin because it strengthens skin’s barrier by encouraging production of ceramides, a key component of healthy skin - Studies show that lactic acid’s antioxidant properties can help to squelch heavy metals that may be present in water, preventing them from attacking healthy cells and releasing collagen-degrading enzymes - Lactic Acid kills bacteria and reduces acne: it helps to kill skin infections, including the irritating, acne-causing kind helping to reduce acne.
GLUCONOLACTONE - an exfoliator with improves skin texture and tone, hydrates, offers some antioxidant benefits, dissolves the dead cells. It’s an excellent acid for all skin types, particularly those with sensitive or mature skin. LAVENDER HYDROSOL - has antiseptic, firming, calming benefits and helps in treating acne prone skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties help to reduce acne inflammation while its oil control properties help remove excess oils on skin that cause breakouts.
